Unbelievably bad company

I was not made aware that i had only after 30 days from purchase, not pickup to report a manufacturing of lens problem. After 2 ½ months one lens has a crack and the other a crack and chip all radiating from the frame. Since I did not purchase a warranty for something like $100 I'm SOL. I spent over $300 and now I have to start all over. Please go somewhere else. As a vet it sickens me the call themselves "America's Best"

HORRIBLE EVERYTHING

I went to 3 locations, Burleson, 7th Street, and west Fort Worth location.
The customer service is pathetic, I was given the run around, they are a polite RUDE
West side location did not give me trials, I finally got them, and the power was wrong
7th street did not give me my contact lens prescription. Nor my trials, each time I call them, Ashley is always gone, Cynthia among the others give me the run around, such as, your trials will be ready tomorrow, then two weeks, and now they are telling me one month,
I informed them I want my prescription, and they are reluctant in giving me my prescription

THEY ARE NOT "AMERICA'S BEST"
THEY ARE AMERICA'S WORST

Scam artists worse contact exam I have ever had, had me setting in a chair and reading letters five

I will never go back nor will I ever under any circumstance give them a good review. After reading letters off on a wall the dr? Told me I needed cataract surgery I won't name who she tried to hook me up with but thhey have to be in on the scam also ai declined the referral but went to the VA and had another eye exam done which was very thourgh, he checkedeverything about my eyes and said that I did not need cataract surgery now for the contacts I could not see more than six ft in front odf me everything was a blur so I ordered some accueview lenses on line and this Dr? Turned down my order from another co. Which Iwas paying for out of my own pocket. Why she did this I haven't a clue. Now they refuse to call me and give and explanation why. I highly recommend to avoid Ammericas Best

Worst Place ever

I was a customer here for years. I spent lots of money at this store on Contacts. I have diabetes, and unfortunately my sugars sometimes go high, and makes my vision change. I had never had any problems with getting my vision checked when these things happen. I was also an eye club member (waste of money). On may 18th I called, because the contacts that I just bought 2 weeks before no longer worked, cause my vision changed. I had just spent $100 for a 30 day supply of contacts. When I called the first time I was told there were no appointments, I called back and asked to talk to a manger. I spoke with a nasty, nasty lady by the name of Rene Gardner(she is the manager). The way that she spoke to me and treated me was unacceptable. She made me feel like I was trying to get something for nothing. I have never felt so horrible. Spoke to me like I was a child and was not at all empathetic to my situation. She finally scheduled me an appointment that day with 45 minutes. I showed up, one of the docs (female, with long brown hair, looked Indian) did my exam and said that she could not get a prescription on one eye, therefore I was not able to get contacts. The ones that I spent $100 on 2 weeks previous no longer worked. I left and I went to another eye care place where I paid $168 and they were able to take care of me and give me contacts.
The fact that I was pushed out and mistreated and had to go else where to spend more money when I had already spent over $300 2 months prior. I will never go to Americas best again. They lost me as a customer, as well as my entire family!

Total scam

Don't waste your time this place is a scam... Just find a good Dr or go to walmart where you know what your getting. I made an appointment I had frames they told me I could use the frames that I had... It cost $75 for the exam. I sat down they told me no we can't use your frames you have to use ours. So I picked out theirs. Which were crap. And they cost another $105$. I didnt even get a nice pair of glasses they were just ok. I feel so upset that they scammed me. I would not ever go there again. And I would not ever tell anyone to go there. This place is crap. I hate walmart and I would tell everyone to go there first. Plastic frames and lens...

Horrible service for Physical Disabled &Cultural awareness

I just left the Disable parking space to go in American Best in WhiteHall PA. Struggle with the door while four employees just looking at me. Yes no one there looked like me. Then I was told to wash my hands before getting out my ID
So I told her my Medical back ground. So I ask her to clean hers. Any way recovering from cancer snd dealing with CHF she had me to go in back to look up my insurance. I was unable to sit in low chair due to my hip replacement. Not even 10 mins went buy and she ask me to reschedule. I could have with other places but my regular one was booked. Now I do not mind waiting. Thank God I did not bring my wheel chair. The staff need training in ADA and Cultural.

More than just eyewear- Awesome people that care for your eyes

This store is amazing with amazing employees- just want to say thank you to the entire team from Dr. Patel to everyone one. The eye exam to picking out the right glasses & needs for your eyes. Thank you all so much! It was a family affair for me, first my daughter got her eyes checked then my dad got his eyewear then finally I had my eye exam which is thorough- don't be afraid. Our eyes are amazing & we want to get them looked at by the professionals so don't hesitate to give them a call or make an appointment online. Thanks again Team at East Northport! D. Ace

Lens or bad had to return them twice in a year.

My son and I have been there a few times. Notice quality of service was lacking, but I tried again. Coating came off my lens for the transitions and glare protection, returned the lenses twice takes 10 plus days to get them back and 4 months later here we are again, can't see out of my glasses. Since I am past my year mark, technically not because they had to redo my lenses in Jan, so they are only about 4 months out. But because my prescription expired they will not warranty, I told them I would pay to have my eyes examined again, but they should pay for the faulty factory work. Well per Brenda the district manager they don't, so no more doing business with them. It is a shame they cannot own up to there own work and having the same problem for a third time means you never fixed the problem the first time. So what we have here is a failure to own up to contracting other work out and to bait and switch you if they can. Lost my business along with my sons.

Excellent experience at Millenia Mall…

Excellent experience at Millenia Mall America's Best.
Dr Marzouca was friendly and explained everything. I had an appointment and had no wait time. The choice of frames was plentiful and the staff, Nancy and Yesnia,
were great! Enjoyed my visit. I ordered 2 pair of glasses and the Rx was spot on. This is my second time visiting this store and I highly recommend them.

Bait and Switch

I went to America's Best Eyeglasses and Contacts located at Jefferson Commons at 12551 Jefferson Avenue, Suite 249, Newport News, VA 23602 for the advertised 'Get 2 pairs of glasses priced at $59.95 with single-vision, uncoated plastic lenses and get a free eye exam! Browse glasses online, and visit an America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses near you to seal the deal!" I left having to pay $50 with no glasses. They stated the special did not include presecription lens, just the frames. This is a blantant bait and switch. Do not go there, it's a scam.

Insurance scam

Insurance scam! Don’t trust them if they say they take your insurance. They were listed on my insurances website and I called to double check and they said yes. Only to finish my eye exam and be told that they don’t take my version of the insurance and got hit with a bill I didn’t anticipate paying. Now I’m stuck dealing with a process just so I can get my prescription and take it elsewhere.

After purchasing glasses (with and without insurance assistance) for over 35 years, I was not ever satisfied with the limited choices and sometime lack of quality of the final product. Since I've picked up my two pairs of glasses less than 24 hours ago, I can only tell you what I experienced up 'til now. The website is very user-friendly, the sales/promotions are better than any other offers by competing outlets, and there were several outlets nearby. For the first time in 35 years I was not forced to visit the only outlet in my vicinity. There, as stated before, were several nearby. All in all - the available promotion(s), user-friendly website (making a list of initial choices to the store), location, ease of making an appointment for an eye exam (included in certain promotions, and Saturday appointments always available) - made this outlet the only option for me.

Potential customers have the option of going online and going through the wide variety of frames (divided into men, women, and kids and price-point categories). Then, go to the store, hand your list to your consultant, and try on the frames. There are other on-line sellers that glasses by mail. I was turned off at the complicated criteria for measuring one's face for a proper fit. I prefer to get fitted on-site, not online.
